Policies

JTL Scaffold Ltd have a number of policies and procedures in place, which are reviewed and revised as necessary at regular intervals. In most instances these are to a higher standard, and include more information than required by relevant statutory legislation and regulations.

With regards to insurances, JTL have arrangements in force for employers liability, public and products liability, motor vehicles and hired in plant and equipment. Employers liability cover has an indemnity limit of £10 million whilst public and products liability cover has an indemnity limit of £5 million. Our liability insurances have no height limit, allowing us to work on the tallest of structures, and also cover work on hazardous sites including airports, railways, docks, mines, power stations and refineries.

Health and Safety Policy Statement

It is the policy of the Company that a very high standard of health and safety will be achieved and maintained at all of its workplaces. The Company believes that the management of health and safety is an essential element of its business strategy, being inextricably linked with productivity and quality.

The provisions of all relevant statutory legislation and regulations will be complied with as a minimum standard. Where relevant, other regulations, standards and approved codes of practice will also be complied with.

Health and safety will be given priority in planning and carrying out the Company’s works to ensure the health and safety of all employees, members of the public and other persons affected by the Company’s works.

The Company is committed to continual monitoring and review of procedures, so that health and safety standards are maintained, and that all reasonable measures are taken to improve health and safety standards.

Our general intentions are –

§  To identify responsibilities for managing health and safety

§  To identify health and safety risks arising from our work activities, and implement procedures to remove or control them

§  To consult with employees and clients on matters affecting health and safety

§  To provide and maintain safe plant and equipment

§  To ensure safe handling and use of substances hazardous to health

§  To provide information, instruction and supervision for employees

§  To ensure employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training

§  To prevent accidents and cases of work related ill health

§  To monitor working conditions, and ensure safe working procedures are followed

§  To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals

Quality Assurance Policy Statement

It is the policy of the Company that a high standard of service and equipment will be provided and maintained at all of its workplaces. The Company believes that meeting the needs and expectations of our clients, including our contractual obligations in terms of cost, programme and safety, is fundamental to its business strategy of securing repeat business and long term partnerships.

Quality will be considered at all stages of carrying out the Company’s works, from receipt of an enquiry, through planning the works, to erecting and dismantling scaffolding.

The Company is committed to continual monitoring and review of procedures, so that quality standards are maintained, and that all reasonable measures are taken to improve quality them.
